Photos, Documents & Organiser Socials — Three New Features, Included on Every Edition

The three features shipping today look small on paper. They matter because competitors gate them. Every one of them is now live, free, on every Who's In edition.

What shipped

1. Event Photo Albums

Up to 10 images, max 5MB each, in JPEG / PNG / WebP / GIF / HEIC. Responsive grid that adapts to phone, tablet, and desktop. Fully keyboard-navigable lightbox (← → arrows, Esc to close). Photos reorderable by drag.

The first photo has a special job: if you haven't uploaded a custom cover image, it automatically becomes the Open Graph image for Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp previews. Studios, clubs, conferences — social share CTR improves the moment a real image replaces a generic fallback.

2. Downloadable Documents

Up to 3 files per event, max 2MB each. Whitelisted: PDF (.pdf), Microsoft Office (.doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx), Apple iWork (.pages, .numbers, .keynote), plain text (.txt, .csv, .rtf). Server-side MIME + file-size + storage-path validation.

Perfect for training course prerequisites, conference agendas, speaker bios, retreat packing lists, wedding menus, charity sponsor decks, and any materials attendees need to grab before or after the event.

3. Organiser Social Profile — 8 Platforms

Connect X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Snapchat, and Reddit once on your organiser profile. Icons appear automatically on every upcoming event page — no per-event setup. A background sync (syncMyEventsSocials) fans any update out to every upcoming event in real time.

Paired with the free LinkedIn verified organiser badge, attendees get a double-trust signal on professional events. Especially valuable for studios, clubs, and conferences where reputation matters.

How this compares to the competition

Eventbrite gates photo galleries behind Pro plans. Luma caps at one cover image. Partiful and Meetup support neither documents nor multi-platform socials. Who's In includes all three, free, on every event. See the full breakdown on our comparison page.

AI-agent-native by design

All three features are built for AI crawlers as well as humans. Photos include descriptive alt text, documents are served as proper MIME types with accessible filenames, and socials render as semantic HTML links with rel attributes. Every element feeds into our Cloudflare 100/100 Agent-Native infrastructure — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and Perplexity can surface and cite events with full context.

Start using them now

Open any event in organiser view, find the "Event Media" card, toggle Photo Album / Documents on, and drag files in. For socials, go to your organiser profile settings and paste in your 8 platform URLs. Everything goes live instantly.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many photos can I add to an event?

Up to 10 photos per event, max 5MB each. Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, HEIC. Responsive grid on the public event page with a keyboard-navigable lightbox (arrow keys + Esc). Photos are reorderable by drag. The first photo automatically becomes the Open Graph image for Facebook/X/LinkedIn/WhatsApp previews if no custom cover is set.

What document formats can I attach?

Up to 3 documents per event, max 2MB each. Whitelisted: PDF, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Apple iWork (Pages, Numbers, Keynote), and plain text (txt, csv, rtf). Server-side MIME validation means no executable uploads; storage-path validation prevents cross-event file injection.

Which social platforms are supported on organiser profiles?

Eight platforms: X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Reddit. Set once on your organiser profile and icons auto-populate on every upcoming event. Change them once and Who's In fans the update out to all your upcoming events via the syncMyEventsSocials Cloud Function.

Are the new features really free?

On the free Events edition — yes, entirely free, no hidden fees. On the paid Clubs ($8.25/mo), Studio (from $15.83/mo), and Conference (from $40.83/mo) subscriptions, all three features are included at no extra charge — no feature upgrade, no add-on, no higher tier. If you already pay for Clubs/Studio/Conference you already have these features.

Is the first photo used as the social share image?

Yes. If the event has no custom cover image set, the first photo in the album automatically becomes the Open Graph image for Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp previews. Events with photos consistently get more RSVPs than events without.
