What shipped

  • Photo albums — up to 10 images per event (max 5MB each), responsive grid, keyboard-navigable lightbox, first photo becomes the social share image.
  • Downloadable documents — up to 3 files per event (max 2MB each), PDF / Office / iWork / txt / csv / rtf.
  • Organiser social profile — 8 platforms (X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Reddit) auto-synced to every upcoming event.
  • Included on every product edition — zero cost on free Events; no extra charge on Clubs, Studio or Conference subscriptions. No feature upgrade, no add-on, no higher tier.
  • Fully documented: help articles, FAQ, capabilities, and comparison pages vs Eventbrite, Luma, Partiful, Meetup.

The three features shipping today look small on paper — they're the kinds of things every event platform claims to offer. But they matter because competitors gate them. Eventbrite puts its photo gallery behind a Pro plan. Luma caps you at one cover image. Partiful doesn't support document attachments at all. Meetup's social integration is a single link, buried in the profile.

We built them the way community organisers actually need them: every edition, every event, no subscription gate, and with AI-crawlable semantic markup so the content gets cited by ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Grok.

1. Event Photo Albums

Every event now supports an in-page photo album — up to 10 images, max 5MB each. Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, HEIC. Responsive grid that adapts to phone, tablet, and desktop. The lightbox is fully keyboard-navigable (arrow keys to step through, Esc to close). Photos are reorderable by drag.

The first photo has a special job: if you haven't uploaded a custom cover image, it automatically becomes the Open Graph image for Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp previews. Studios sharing the vibe of their room, clubs showing last month's highlights, conferences previewing the venue — social share CTR goes up the moment there's a real image in place of a generic fallback.

Who's In Studio use cases:

Space photos, instructor headshots, class-in-progress, past workshop highlights. Read the yoga studio opening guide for how to use photos as pre-launch marketing.

2. Downloadable Documents

Attach up to 3 files per event, max 2MB each. Whitelisted formats: PDF (.pdf), Microsoft Office (.doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx), Apple iWork (.pages, .numbers, .keynote), and plain text (.txt, .csv, .rtf). Attendees see a clean list with download buttons on the public event page. Each file can be renamed with a human-friendly display name.

Security is built in at every layer. Server-side MIME validation rejects non-whitelisted uploads before they touch storage. Storage-path validation prevents cross-event file injection even if someone bypasses the UI. And Firebase Storage security rules enforce the same limits at the infrastructure level.

3. Organiser Social Profile — 8 Platforms

Connect eight platforms to your organiser profile and they automatically appear on every upcoming event page. No per-event setup, no copy-pasting. The supported platforms:

X (Twitter)

Facebook

Instagram

YouTube

TikTok

LinkedIn

Snapchat

Reddit

The magic is the background sync. When you add or update a social link, a server-side callable (syncMyEventsSocials) fans the change out to every upcoming event in real time. Your old event pages pick up the new social icons without a manual edit.

Paired with the LinkedIn verified organiser badge (free, OAuth-based), attendees get a double-trust signal on professional events. For community clubs, studios, and conferences where the organiser's reputation matters, this is a meaningful credibility upgrade.

All three new features are built for crawlers as well as humans. Photos include descriptive alt text, documents are served as proper MIME types with accessible filenames, and socials render as semantic HTML links with proper rel attributes. Every element feeds into our Cloudflare 100/100 Agent-Native infrastructure — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and Perplexity can surface and cite your events with full context.

How to start using them

  1. Open any event in organiser view.
  2. Find the "Event Media" card.
  3. Toggle on "Photo Album" or "Documents" (or both) and drag files in.
  4. For socials, go to your organiser profile settings, paste your 8 platform URLs, save. Icons appear on every upcoming event automatically.
