Switch from Meetup to Who's In

Meetup charges organizers $20-35/month just to create events. Move your group to Who's In for free and stop paying to organize your community.

Every feature included free forever. No credit card required.

Why organizers switch from Meetup

$20-35/month organizer fee

Meetup charges organizers a monthly subscription to create events.

Who's In is completely free for event organizers. Create unlimited events without paying a monthly fee.

Members need Meetup accounts

Every attendee must create a Meetup account and navigate Meetup's interface to RSVP. This creates friction and scares away less tech-savvy members.

Who's In requires no accounts. Members RSVP with one tap via a shared link. Works in WhatsApp, email, or any messaging app.

Limited group branding

Your group page looks like every other Meetup group. Limited customization options mean your community doesn't have its own identity.

Full custom branding: your logo, colors, and banner. Your club page looks like your brand, not like a platform.

Step 1: Export from Meetup

Get your data out

1

Download your member list

Go to your Meetup group's Members page. As an organizer, you can view member names and join dates. Use a browser extension or manually copy the list.

Meetup Pro users can export member data from the organizer dashboard.

2

Export your event history

Navigate to your group's Past Events page. Note the event titles, descriptions, dates, and venues for any recurring events you want to recreate.

3

Save group description and photos

Copy your group's About text, rules, and any photos from the group page. Save your group's profile image and cover photo.

4

Notify your members

Use Meetup's messaging feature to let your members know you're moving to a new platform.

Send the message at least a week before your next event so members have time to save the new link.

Step 2: Set up on Who's In

Get running in minutes

1

Create your Who's In club

Sign up at whos-in.app and create a Club. Add your group name, description, logo, and cover image.

Clubs are free and include member management, events, and announcements.

2

Invite your members

Share your club's invite link via WhatsApp, email, or your Meetup group's message board. Members join with one tap. No accounts, no app downloads.

3

Recreate your recurring events

Set up your regular events (weekly runs, monthly meetups, etc.) as recurring events. Who's In handles repetition automatically with configurable schedules.

Recurring events auto-create future instances so you only set it up once.

4

Set up optional memberships

If your group collects dues, create membership tiers with Stripe integration. Members can pay monthly or annually. Payments go directly to your bank.

5

Share the new link everywhere

Update your social media bios, WhatsApp group descriptions, and website links to point to your Who's In club page.
