Switch from Circle to Who's In

Circle is community-platform-first — strong on forums + courses, light on real-world events + dues. Per-member pricing escalates fast. Move to Who's In Clubs at $8.25/mo billed annually flat — built for real-world clubs and member organisations.

Everything included in one simple plan. No credit card required to start.

Why organizers switch from Circle

Per-member pricing escalates with growth

Circle's pricing scales with active member count. A 100-member community pays one rate; 1,000+ pays substantially more. Multi-tier features (live streams, gamification, branded apps) come as separate paid add-ons.

Who's In Clubs is $8.25/mo billed annually flat — unlimited members. The plan price doesn't change as you grow from 50 to 5,000+ members. All features bundled.

Forum-first, light on real-world events + dues

Circle is strong on forums, member directory, and courses. Real-world events (recurring meetups, workshops, fixtures) are basic. Dues collection requires Stripe wired in manually with limited recurring-payment depth.

Who's In Clubs is built for real-world clubs and associations: recurring events, fixture lists, member-only sessions, dues collection via Stripe Connect with auto-renewal, dunning sequences, family plans.

No native member ID + check-in flow

Circle doesn't have member ID badges, Wallet passes, or check-in flows for in-person meetups. Members are forum users, not real-world attendees.

Who's In Clubs gives every member a Wallet pass member ID. QR check-in at meetups + events. Capacity caps + waitlists. Real-world clubs need this; Circle doesn't ship it.

Step 1: Export from Circle

Get your data out

1

Export member directory

In Circle admin, navigate to Members > Export > CSV. Captures name, email, member tier, joined date, custom profile fields.

2

Document community structure

Spaces > Document. Take screenshots or note your forum / channel structure for replication in Who's In Clubs (or a paired forum tool).

3

Export upcoming events

Events > Upcoming > Export. Captures event title, date, registered members.

4

Document membership tiers + pricing

Membership Tiers > Document. Each tier with pricing, renewal terms, gated content for replication.

5

Export courses + content

If you have courses, document them. Circle has native courses; Who's In Clubs doesn't — pair with Teachable / Thinkific / Kajabi for course delivery if needed.

Step 2: Set up on Who's In

Get running in minutes

1

Create your Who's In Clubs

Recreate your tier hierarchy with pricing + renewal terms. Family plan support included.

3

Import member directory

Members > Import. Upload Circle CSV. Map name, email, tier, custom fields. Members get Wallet pass.

4

Set up dues collection + Stripe Connect

Stripe Connect Standard for monthly / annual dues. Auto-renewal, dunning sequences, lapse-handling.

5

Recreate upcoming events

For each event, set name, date, time, location, member-tier-gated access. Capacity caps + waitlists.

6

Pair with Discourse / Discord for forums

Who's In Clubs is real-world-club-first. For forum / discussion threads, pair with Discourse (free for nonprofits) or Discord. Use SSO via OAuth so members log in once.
