Baby #2 sprinkle for Jessica — let's keep it chill
Hey [NAME], You know the deal — [MOM/PARENT NAME] is doing it all again, and we're doing a low-key sprinkle instead of the whole shebang. Think: hanging out, snacks, maybe some silly games, and celebrating without the pressure. 🎀 Baby Sprinkle 📅 [DATE], [TIME] to [END TIME] 📍 [LOCATION — backyard, park, coffee shop, etc.] This is super casual. No sit-down meal, no gifts expected (seriously — she has everything already). If you want to grab her something small like freezer meals, diapers, or a cute outfit in the new baby's size, she'd actually use that. Otherwise, just show up. **Let us know you're coming:** 👉 [RSVP LINK] If you have dietary needs or can't do dairy/gluten/etc., just flag it in the RSVP so we're not caught off guard with the snack run. See you then! [YOUR NAME]

This is a family party."] [If pregnant people attending: "We'll have pregnancy-safe food options and cold drinks on deck."] **RSVP by [DATE]:** 👉 [RSVP LINK] Let us know dietary restrictions, especially if you're pregnant and avoiding certain foods. DATE CHANGE — [EVENT NAME] moved to [NEW DATE]
Hi everyone, We need to make an important change and we appreciate your flexibility. [MOM/PARENT NAME]'s due date shifted, and we realized the original shower date puts us right in the "she could go into labor or be recovering" window. So we're moving the shower to give her breathing room. 📅 **NEW date:** [NEW DATE] at [TIME] 📍 **Same location:** [VENUE] **What you need to do:** Your RSVP has automatically carried over to the new date. If the new date doesn't work for you, please update your RSVP ASAP so we can plan accordingly. Update your RSVP here: 👉 [RSVP LINK] You can also just reply to this saying yes or no — whatever's easiest. **Why we're doing this:** We want [MOM/PARENT NAME] to actually enjoy her shower instead of worrying about early labor or being too sore to participate. A week or two makes all the difference. **Calendar update:** If you already added the old date to your calendar, please swap it out for [NEW DATE] at [TIME]. Thanks for being flexible — this community is everything to her, and we want to celebrate the right way. Let us know if you have any questions. [YOUR NAME]
Tips for better invitations
Always ask for dietary restrictions explicitly — and be specific about pregnancy-safe foods, aversions, and allergies. Organizers know you can't wing this.
Mention headcount hard requirements. Baby showers need exact numbers for food prep, chair setup, and parking logistics — it's not optional.
For sprinkles and sip & sees, say "no gifts" in the subject line or opening sentence. Repeat it. Organizers know duplicate registry items are a real problem.
Include specific parking instructions, not vague directions. Expectant parents are tired and guests with kids don't have patience for wrong turns.
For virtual showers, mention timezone twice and send Zoom link in the RSVP confirmation, not just in the invite. Someone will still ask.
Co-ed and Baby-Q invites need to explicitly say partners/spouses/kids are welcome and what food will be served. This audience asks because they care about bringing their families.
Gender reveals benefit from exact reveal-moment timing ("balloon pop at 3:15pm") so guests know when to have their phones out and emotions ready.
Give traditional showers 2-3 weeks notice, sprinkles 1-2 weeks, sip & sees 1 week. Organizers know the timing windows matter for attendance.
Use the parent's actual name and baby's actual name or nickname if known — templates feel generic, personalization feels like they're actually invited.
