Check-In: Manual List (Recommended) + QR Codes
Two ways to check guests in. Pick the one that fits your set-up — most busy organisers prefer the manual list at the door.
Recommended: Manual list (fastest at a busy door) 1. Go to your event page and tap Check-In 2. You see every RSVP'd guest in one tap-to-confirm list 3. Tap a name as each guest arrives — instant confirmation, real-time counts update 4. Made a mistake? You have a 15-minute undo window on every check-in 5. Press S at any time to switch to QR scanning if you'd rather scan
Why the list is recommended: it's faster at the door (no camera focus / lighting / dead-battery friction), works without the guest having a phone in hand, and the undo window means a misfire is never permanent.
Alternative: QR codes (great for self-service or roaming) 1. Each RSVP'd guest receives an Apple/Google Wallet pass in their confirmation email 2. They show the QR code at the door (or you scan from a roaming phone) 3. Same real-time counts and undo window
For your guests: 1. They RSVP with their email address (required when check-in is enabled) 2. They receive a confirmation email with: - Event details and calendar link - Apple Wallet pass (tap to add to iPhone Wallet) - Google Wallet pass (tap to add to Android Wallet)
Why is email required? When check-in is enabled, we need an email address to send the QR code and wallet pass. Without an email, we can't deliver the ticket.
Can guests RSVP without email? Only if check-in is turned off. When QR check-in is enabled, email is mandatory so every guest gets their ticket.
