Founder

A founder is the original creator of a club, often the first member and frequently the de-facto leader during the club's early years. Founders may transition to formal committee roles or remain advisors after the club matures. Many clubs preserve "founding member" status as a permanent recognition (sometimes with reduced dues — see founder-rate). Founders typically shape the club's culture and values for the first 5-10 years.
