A studio freeze (or membership pause) is a temporary suspension of a member's recurring billing for a defined period — typically 1-12 weeks for travel, injury, illness, or seasonal pause. The membership stays active but billing pauses; the resume date can be auto-set or manually triggered. Modern studio platforms support self-serve freeze with optional minimums (e.g., 1-week minimum, 12-week maximum, max 2 freezes/year).
