Mat Fee

A mat fee is an optional per-class charge for renting a mat or other equipment when a student doesn't bring their own. Common at travel-yoga studios or for first-time visitors. Typical pricing: $2-5 per class. Some studios bundle the mat fee into drop-in pricing but charge separately for pack/member visits. Mat fees offset cleaning costs and encourage long-term students to bring their own equipment.
