Gamification
Gamification at conferences is the use of points, badges, leaderboards, and challenges to drive specific delegate behaviours (visiting sponsor booths, attending sessions, completing surveys, networking). Common implementations: scavenger hunts (visit 5 booths to enter a prize draw), session check-in points, networking-completion badges, sponsor-engagement leaderboards. When done well, gamification can lift sponsor booth traffic 30-50%; done poorly, it feels patronizing.
