Ticket holds are conference seats reserved for specific delegate types (VIPs, sponsors, speakers, press, internal staff) and not released to the public sale. Common ticket-hold tiers: 5-10% sponsor allocation, 2-5% speaker allocation, 1-3% VIP allocation, plus internal-team allocation. Modern ticketing platforms support fine-grained ticket-hold management with per-tier capacity caps and release rules (e.g., release unsold sponsor seats to public 30 days before event).
